Today I trimmed a zip lock baggie full of 9x19 brass that I would not reload ( odd headstamp ) to 9x18 for my Makarov.
In a quick "google" I found....

Looks like a Mac bullet is a little larger and may be enlarging the trimmed 9mm Para case to the point of not chambering. Bummer, considering.....

A little pricy. and boy howdy, finding your spent brass at the range.

I have trimmed 9X19 down to 9X18 for years and have had good luck with it. Most likely after they have been fired, they are formed. The difference is .356 to .363 bullet diameter.

Hmm. .007" seems like a substantial difference when we're talking chambering cartridges. But if it works....

I don't want to spend money buying new brass. And, Makarov range brass is very rarely found. And, i want enough so I can enjoy shooting as much of it without worrying. All I need next is a bullet mold and sizer.
