21 db reduction, nope, not for me. Many guns will be 140 db using these. Hearing damage is cumulative. And the "140db" threshold is still causing hearing damage it's just not immediate extreme danger for the one shot. I don't usderstand why people use these low db reduction muffs. Why damage your hearing? I use the highest db reduction I can get, Peltor x5. $38 on Amazon. And double up with foam mugs on really loud guns. Of Course ppl are free to wear whatever they want. I would be doubling up using these if it were me.

That's definitely understandable and part of why I also bought some of the reusable plugs. It's surprisingly challenging to find reviews on who is the king of the sub-$100 electronic hearing protection and these were a set that I saw some consistent reviews for, saying they're better than Walker's razors.
