I have no idea if this is original or a reproduction. There are factors that lead me in both directions as to its authenticity

Does anyone know where would I have it looked at?

Thank You

Maybe post on the luger forums. They have been very helpful to me on my DWM.

Hard to tell because they make reproductions with the same markings.

But a few things to look at. Originals are vegetable tanned leather. They often have small cracks from aging. The dyes tend to fade a bit. Should smell like old leather. Linen thread was used which darken and fray with age. Stamps are lightly struck and not deeply embossed.

Reproductions have softer leather with smooth uniform surface. Dye is jet black with no tonal variation. They may have a chemical smell from modern tanning. Usually use polyester thread which is bright white and slightly shiny. Display deep, crisp embossing.

Here's a link to a reproduction.

Without seeing the holster in person....
I am hesitant to call it one thing or another.

However...
I am leaning towards it being a reproduction.
Stitching seems too white and clean...
Not a lot of wear marks on the leather...or even normal use marks....
The buckle seems too bright

100% the some of the repros can look super close i got one that has the markings as well but its a modern made holster

The holster is a reproduction, originals were not marked that way. Here is an original luger holster. Its an earlier1939 with maker, they went to 3 letter codes later .1941 holsters should be a code only and the waffenamps were like this one.The police were different but not like the OPs.Beside it looking too new the belt loops were never stitched that way.
