SAVE ACT!!!!!!
Even if that Act were to pass, do you seriously think States where mail in voting were enshrined in laws; would follow the Feds example?

As to the M114 thing.... Too many of these.... "Useful idiots" cannot seem to grasp the very ironic concept of arming themselves to resist government tyranny, and begging the government for permission to arm themselves

Here's the work session from yesterday. Found it interesting with the vote switch.
https://olis.oregonlegislature.gov/...026021164&startStreamAt=396&stopStreamAt=1293
Agreed! Rep. Tran went against the party line and voted no. Rep. Kropf immediately stopped the vote and did a brief recess where the livestream was cut. Not sure what was said behind closed doors but Rep. Tran definitely seemed a bit flustered when she returned. It's ridiculous that he can stop the vote while its going on and then reinitiate it after he's mustered his people. The record should rightly reflect it would've been voted down in this committee 5-4 thanks to Tran. Not sure what the implications of that no vote would've been but seeing as how Kropf jumped on calling a recess immediately makes me think it would've killed this bill for the session. Thankfully the news is not letting this slimy behavior from Kropf go unnoticed.

Isn't this completely against Legislature Rules?? WTF??

Boy, to do that in the middle of a vote is intimidation and manipulative. Kropf is a scumbag. Sounds like he threatened her in some way. Unfortunately Bend has gone down the bubblegumtler compared to what it was 15-20 years ago. But honestly the whole state has gotten worse as well.

I think we should use a different tactic. We should all email Rep. Tran's office with our deep concern for her well being after being verbally abused by Rep. Kropf. We don't think women should be verbally abused by their male coworkers. We think they should stand up against such behavior and implore her to file a formal complaint against Rep. Kropf. We the people stand with her.

She needs to feel like she can stand up against this so that others can do the same.

I'll be the first to email her.

Here's the legislative page for Representative Tran.

I wasn't there and don't have any insight into the specifics, but stripping committee membership and caucus support could be things that not only end a legislative career, but could extend to her personal life as well. Slimeballs do slimeball stuff and we're seeing it play out in public.

Yep. But by framing it as workplace bullying, which bullying is frowned upon everywhere (except probably the mil and sports), I think she has an opportunity to make a name for herself by standing up to injustice. Makes her appear stronger and emboldens others to go against the grain and vote on the behalf of their constituents instead of party lines.

I emailed her giving her support to stand up to workplace bullying and to be a message for women in the workplace. Hope she puts his bubblegum on blast. Doubt it can cause a recount but gotta find a way to stick it to Slimeball Kropf.

Just sent her an email. Would help if the rest of you spread the word and do the same. Coercion, threats, and bullying do not need to be the everyday norm in Oregon politics. Collectively, we can let this stand or stand up against it. It's our choice, and I believe, our obligation, to do something about this.

I wonder if the red shirts are supporting her.

it's getting traction. Saw on Reddit there is a poll to remove Rep. Kropf from his Committee Chair position that is going around. I have already electronically voted and submitted comment. He must pay.

Don't know who the red shirts are. But this needs to be framed as a man in power used his influence, albeit by verbal abuse, to coerce his female colleague into voting his way, and not the will of her district. Whether you're for or against the bill, this cannot stand. He must be held accountable for his actions. Sends a message to all others like him.

It's the only way to make anti-2A people see the dirty tactics. And also, it's the right thing to do.

Mom's demand they get some action (MDA) is the useful idiot branch of Everytown for gun safety, which is an arm of the Bloomberg cabal. Not surprisingly, they are partially funded by our taxes.

I happened to tune in just prior to the vote and Kropf was clearly trying to intimidate Tran during the meeting. Tran was commenting on HB4145 and Kropf was slamming her every chance he had. I wish that I had watched it past the vote and the "stand at ease" that Kropf called for.

Although it may be normal to have private conferences in the hall, I don't think that doing it after the vote has been cast is kosher.

I also have not seen where the FBI would delete the bgc after 24 hrs. I am sure that we all believe that the bcg information would not end up in a firearm registration file somewhere. :s0140:
