Oregon Oregon gun ownership age question

I was wondering if the age for buying and owning a long gun for example an ar15 was still 18 in Oregon or did they change it to 21?
My son is moving into his own apartment(still in Oregon) just a few hours from me and is almost 21 and I wanted to transfer one of my rifles to
Him so he could have one since he's going to be away from my house and protection.
I know hand guns are 21.

You are able to gift or sell your son an AR or handgun, no "transfer" required. The age thing only applies to him purchasing through an FFL, which is not needed for immediate family members.
