Hmmm...Because making Glock switches illegal prevented actual criminals from possessing and using them in the commission of a crime too, right?
How about this: why not just add an enhanced offense IF USED IN THE COMMISSION OF A CRIME? Then law abiding citizens can possess what they should be allowed to, and those who abuse the law get the sentence they deserve.
It's already been proven that making something illegal does not prevent a criminal from gaining access to it. Illicit drugs have been illegal for a very long time. That doesn't stop a criminal from being able to acquire them.
This is actually a great idea.

All the more reason if you have one, just don't tell anyone about it. It's no one else's business including local/state/federal government unless you choose to make it their business.

Probably won't be an issue if it's not installed on your firearm. If the parts are spread out among several boxes or jars of nuts, bolts, misc small Auto or motorcycle, lawnmower parts, no one will know, it it will be safely hidden. Then when we are invaded by China, you can dig them all out, assemble your firearm and let the commies, have it bullets first. That, or you can take care of business in Portland. ( The home grown commies ).

Be careful with that. There is something called "Constructive Possession". I believe even if you don't have it installed but have a stripped lower or only have gun parts where the only purpose for having it would be to install it in an lower. Works the same kind of way if you have a stock and a pistol that could take a brace or stock but it's the only pistol you have that could take one, you could still get charged for unlawful possession of an unregistered SBR/SBS. I don't think having the corresponding parts in separate areas of the house gets around this potential issue. But then again I'm not a lawyer; I've just watched a lot of 2nd Amendment Lawyer/Law based YouTube videos on these subjects.

Do your own research and make up your own mind on whether or not to comply. Just remember that actions have consequences.

I can bump fire like a MOFO with my MAK90. I need some practice to do it from the shoulder lol I'm even more motivated to learn and improve shoulder bumping now.

I don't have a reset trigger, but if you are a dirty civilian, keep it hush hush.

One of the sponsors of the bill literally said to "just keep them in the safe" or something to that effect.

If the Head of Senate Judiciary Committee literally said that we can keep them in our safe or whatever; then LE can't really enforce the law unless it's an add on charge right? Logically that is.
How is what Floyd said over ride what the law says?

It doesn't
But it's useful in a lawsuit to challenge the law ;)

And they'd have to have more than just "oh they said they have (whatever potential contraband) in their safe" to be "probable cause" for a flimsy warrant to raid and confiscate everything gun related.

For example, I could say I have a complete M16 auto trigger group but because I don't have a registered Machine Gun, and I don't also have a drill press or anything with that third hole, it's not probable cause enough to confiscate my entire armory.

But that's just hearsay, "he said, she said", right? Unless it's in writing/documented somewhere?
