Optics help

I have a very nice trijicon reflex site for my S&W15t, but I am now in need of something for longer distances (300-500)yards for some good old rock chuck, yote, and jack rabbits. I wont be using it more than a few weekends a year so I really dont want to spend a small fortune on it. I am trying to stay in the 500 dollar range and stumbled upon*Burris AR-536 5x 36mm Prism Sight Ballistic CQ Reticle Matte. Has anyone tried this? If so what do you think of it? I have been reading the other optics thread as well, and it has given me other ideas as well. As always, thank you for your input.

For rock chucks at 500, that isn't going to get you any sort of precision. Way to low power for things that small, that far out.

Take a look at the Nikon Buckmark 4.5-14. Or if you want a fixed power, maybe a
16x Super Sniper from SWFA. Chucks and Jackrabbits at 500 with a 16" AR is
getting out there.
