Spent a couple nights on an island off Australia that was a nature preserve. It had a temperate rain forest and fresh water lakes with sand so fine [like talcum powder] it was used to polish jewelry. The deciduous-looking trees kept their leaves year round, but the bark peeled. The conifer-looking trees shed their needles in the winter.

Ozzies also have a great sense of humor.
