The setting is the War Memorial in Canberra, it's a sobering experience to read the names of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Very sombre place.
The hairs on the back of my neck always go up when the Last Post is played.
I miss not marching on ANZAC Day.

There are so many places in Australia where you will see a memorial. Even in almost forgotten outback towns. I've had the privilege of participating in ANZAC Day ceremonies hundreds of miles from home base. I felt very humbled having old veterans with a chest full of medals come up and chat with me after the dawn service.
