Add to that the lack of fees coming in from people that have just decided to let their tags expire and not renew them!
I figure it might be different in other areas of the state. But here in potland it's amazing the number of cars with expired tags. Not just the old, homeless looking, beater cars either. A LOT of fairly respectable looking cars have tags with '22 on them.
I can easily see that happening. We have 5 vehicles we keep licensed and insured. Believe me I see all the cars on the road now with no tags at all and often feel like a chump for following the rules. 🤬

My boy said screw it and didn't license his rig. There is no traffic enforcement so much anymore. BUT, he spent a night at a gals house and she said he's be fine parking in front of the neighbors garage. Well, he couldn't it turns out. So not only was the illegal park a fine but so was no tags. Cost him in the neighborhood of $300.00. In NW "potland" ya' know.

Ya, I believe PPB has a no chase policy (unless you murdered someone etc). So if you were to get pulled over for expired tags, and you chose not to stop, lol no worries.

A lot of people are fed up with the BS and they won't comply and or can't afford to. I get it, driving is a privilege, but when your government prints billions and gifts it to their buddies and foreign countries, I would have a hard time complying too. This is just the beginning if you ask me.

You can use Google to track inflation:

From 2017 to 2020 the breakfast burrito increased $0.50 from $3.49 to 3.99. From then on, it has now increased to $8.50, that pic isn't on here, but that's what I paid before tax last week.

Suspect supply vs demand coming to play. Summer drive time is over. Many are having to be REAL careful how much driving they do so if they don't buy price does drop. I am NOT holding my breath waiting for it to go to what it was before the last election. Again this is what a LOT of people said they wanted, so the rest of us get to live with it too. Filling up my hot rod other day. Another snow on the roof guy walking by complemented it. I laughed said "when I was a kid I wanted one of these but could not afford it then, so this is me reliving my youth." He laughed and said he did the same thing, bought a Vet now that he could. :D

I guess it doesn't matter as XI was checking out his new Western Headquarters last week.

Brandon and Newscum handing him the keys to the country and all. :(

I didn't watch the ChiTok video but something doesn't add up? Nurses are making bank these days and the husband is working as well.

Did not bother to watch the stupid thing but for anyone who did, did she happen to mention how she votes?? That is always the first question I ask anyone who comes to be crying about how much stuff costs now. Many of them don't ever want to talk to me about it again after that :s0140:

Yeah, something doesn't add up there. I'm guessing hefty car payments, credit card bills, student loans, or something. Their household income has to be double what my single income brings in, and I'm raising a houseful of kids and paying a bundle in medical expenses.

Admittedly things are getting worse, no doubt about it. We haven't had car payments in 20 years, and have no debt besides the mortgage, but if inflation keeps outpacing wages the way it has, we'll be paycheck-to-paycheck before long too.

I watched about half of it. If she's not going to say what her and her husband bring in, her complaining means NOTHING. She said it wasn't so bad before the rona when she was a prison guard. Do they make more than a nurse?

Inflation has many ways to rob us.

There is rarely (if ever) a time when Gov gets involved in something that it does not get worse, often MUCH worse.
