Bootlickers Are Ruining America

Have you ever noticed that most bootlickers have no idea that they are bootlickers? They talk real tough, but they live lives of cowering before those who have power. Like an abused child trying to get his dad to love him. Or, at least not hit him again. They never stand up to anyone that could actually harm them for doing so, yet they talk about themselves as these ultra-warrior, "courageous", "take no bubblegum" kind of men. They lick the boots of the powerful and then go home and kick their dog to try to feel good about themselves again. It's sad, pathetic and it is 100% ruining this great country of ours. Bootlickers are worse than brown nosers, at least the brown nosers know what they are doing. Bootlickers live in a fantasy land.

Well. That depends on your definition of "bootlicking". If it is following the laws of the States and Federal, then yes every law-abiding citizen without a criminal record is a bootlicker.

The hard part is figuring out which laws are constitutional or not without being a lawyer or judge, and whether or not one will be willing to obey them, and accept the consequences either way.

Edit. This is why we have State, Federal and Supreme Courts.

In any event...
Risk versus reward comes to mind here.
As well as...
Not advocating breaking laws and such over an open forum , which has many visitors of various types...
Is wise.

Actions have consequences...sometimes they happen swiftly...other times they are more of a slow build up.
Follow the law...or not...the choice is yours....both can lead to a life of no choices.

Now. The catch is... What level of obeying (or disobeying) laws is not considered "bootlicking"?

There is something to be said for "malicious compliance"

As in follow the letter of the law but not the spirit.

This is also why Law Enforcement people tend to have discretionary powers, they can choose to arrest and charge you with something, or let you go with just a warning, or ignore you completely.

Insecurity and need for approval and validation are ubiquitous, and growing.
I prefer Sycophants as a descriptive label, Its means the same, but is a neutral term. Boot lickers, brown nosers, bubblegum kissers are insults.
To keep a discussion positive, have value, and keep the other side engaged, best to set aside insults and use facts not flames.

I would make a point of distinguishing phallus worship from boot-licking, though they are related.

The other day I listened to a staff meeting with the current POTUS where they had a circle jerk of each staff member kiss Trumps anal orifice by giving him praise, in order to prop up his ego by telling him how great he was.
