So, he is comparing a jury decided acquittal of someone facing a murder charge to 'gun violence'? He missed the part in president class when they were teaching a standing president should not take sides in a states' legal issues.

How about a speech that says something like this:

Yesterday a man was found not guilty by a jury of his peers. The DOJ, Al Not-so-sharpton, Jackson and myself all would like to apologize for going after you and making this a racial thing. We have pretty much destroyed your life and the life of your family, we also destoyed the Sheriffs career along with putting to question the entire departments ability to properly collect evidence and make their own decisions as professionals.

Although we have no intention of learning from our mistakes, we will in the future be a little more selective and secretative with our pursuits of injustice against innocent civilians.

But here is my personal, heartfelt apology (wink wink). Please feel free to resume your normal life as if this never happened.
