Have you ever considered NRA High Power but just not sure where to start?

Douglas Ridge Rifle Club will be putting on a 2 day 'primer' on NRA High Power March 22 & 23. Saturday will be classroom overview of equipment, rules, targets and positions. Sunday will be shooting 800 aggregate match (from the 200 yard) with experienced competitors as coaches.

There's also an Appleseed the weekend before (15 & 16). Come learn the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship & field position shooting. Then the next weekend see how those fundamentals work in high power competition.

If you are at all interested in competing with your service rifle this is an outstanding one, two punch to kick start your new hobby.

Carl Haggland is giving the clini. He is president of the high power association. He's passionate about the high power sport. A great guy. Its a great way to get started in high power as Kimber Custom has stated.

What a great turnout yesterday. There was a great group of new and experienced shooters and the weather was perfect. I helped coach a older gentleman who was shooting his CMP Garand for the first time. I hope he sticks with it. Hope to see you folks again at Estacada in a couple of weeks.
