It's so bad that a guy I know who lives there and is approaching retirement is thinking about jumping border to Utah until he can finally move to that villa in the Tuscan countryside... and this is a guy who a few years ago said "they will only get me off my home soil when they put me under it."

I sincerely do not agree. Most of the Democrat leadership in Oregon is homegrown from rancher stock. At least that, down homey message is what they pushed. The Republicans have not put up one realistic candidate for a major office in Oregon, since? Even with this last election, everyone said, I guess I'll hold my nose and maybe vote for the guy. No one even did that.

Blaming outside influence won't fix stupid. Groups like Everytown and the like aren't sitting around on their retired behinds. They show to Salem up in mass and give their politicians the backbone to destroy our rights. So you can blame California but Kate Brown is putting pen to paper instead of that other guy who no one voted for.

Tom Mauser, a spokesman for the gun-control group Colorado Ceasefire, hopes red-flag legislation is just the beginning of what Democrats can accomplish in 2019.

Mauser said Ceasefire also wants to see legislation blocking people convicted of violent misdemeanors from owning firearms. He told the Colorado Independent that an assault-style weapons ban is not expected to be a legislative priority.

However, Mauser declined to talk about other gun-control proposals that might be introduced next year.

"We need buy-in from our coalition partners and really don't want to show our hand at this point," Mauser explained.

Let's do some deductive math, shall we?

That "buy-in" mentioned at the end is referring to money from oligarchs, like Soros and Bloomberg to help stave off recalls, pay for MSM propaganda for the ignorant masses to consume, and entice current politicians with promises of reelection campaign donations.

To your point, Oregon has a special kind of stupid when it comes to the progressive voting. It has been developing here, like in California for several decades. To the gist of my other point, places like Austin, Dallas, Denver and others have turned blue due to migration.

"Not far behind" probably isn't quite accurate. There is certainly plenty of blue in Boise and CDA but I think the vast majority of Idaho residents see what happened in Oregon and Washington. They're much more vocal here about how outsiders are expected to behave. Act like a California lefty and you'll be called out for it. It's not "cool" to be a freedom-grabbing socialist here.

The fact of the matter is, every state is at risk, it's only a matter of time! Look at Texas, and Utah, look at the liberal strong hold the left has gained!
I thought that Colorado could hold out a little longer, boy was I wrong. What was once ultra conservative very pro gun has become OryGun lite, the infection of socialisism has taken hold in the big cities of Boulder and Denver and the population of those cities have overwhelmed the voter base in the rest of the State! It's funny though, cities like Vale, Aspen, and Steamboat Springs were pretty conservative despite the big money that lives there, today they are still pretty Red, but i5s o ly a matter of time before the blue wave crushes them too, then it's only the High Mountain areas with large numbers spread out, but no real chance against what's comming! If it can happen in Colorado, no state is safe, even Utah with its high saturation of Mormons, sadly, they have become targets for the next wave of "Mass Shootings" and they will eventually cave to the anti gun propaganda! Even though they have held out against big money from outside Billionares, it's comming quicker now that those Billionares have bought up businesses and interests, and soon will own the politicians too! It's inevitable, and it's too late to stop any of it at the soap box or the ballot box, so the next step is the ammo box! Sad ain't it?!?!?! Sad that it has come to this, the stage where the good people must do something beyond vote! Make NO mistake, we are already there, just haven't had the first shot yet!
