N.J. Gov. Phil Murphy Wants To Raise Gun Permit Fees by 2,000 Percent

Now that your outrage is up ....

"The New Jersey ID card itself currently costs $5, but Murphy wants to raise the price to $100."
"...an additional, separate process to obtain a handgun permit, which currently costs just $2. Under Murphy's proposal, it would cost $50."
"It costs $20 to obtain a concealed carry permit. If Murphy gets his way, that will rise to $400."

" His proposed 2020 state budget also calls for a 2.5 percent excise tax on gun sales, as well as a 10 percent ammunition tax, NJ.com reported last month.

"There's no war on responsible gun owners," the governor [said]"

Well it's NJ, no big surprise. I'm surprised they don't tax you on your fart output there.
Oh and, what exit?

They are NOT taking away your 2A rights in NJ. They are just out-pricing it so the common folk can't afford to exercise their 2A rights!

He's a politician and all politicians lie...

Tax law abiders, while providing violent criminals with three hots and a cot. Plus internet and free educations. Makes all the sense in the world to me.

I don't know why a free people puts up with such tyrannically human garbage. Granted, a c-note is nothing, but it is the principle.

Throughout human history the general populace has clamored for King to rule them, A- because they're "lazy", and B- out of "fear" of dealing with the unknown.

Yet it's a paradox against the innate human desire for freedom.
