Hey, I should have played the lottery yesterday when I found a recoil spring plug after launching it yesterday!

Haha - the recoil spring plug find is BY FAR the biggest luck! I literally have a couple packs of those "AR extra parts kits" sitting in a drawer, because too many times I have launched something, and you are never going to find it.

...but just one false move and that thing is in orbit!

We are "GO" for launch for Low Earth Orbital insertion...

Weekly report that the queue was in the low 30s this afternoon. I initially went in the queue but then bounced out a moment later to instant. Go get those guns boys!

Picked up the new Springfield Operator 1911, threaded in OD green with optics cut. Solid 1911!!

Gods caliber of course- the only way single stack 1911s should be run. . . ;-). I think the OEM threaded versions only come in .45, for the guaranteed subsonic qualities . . .

Hey now, I have a Springfield TRP and Alchemy Custom Prime elite in 9mm. And a Bul Armory in 10mm. They're all pretty worthy, I'd say

Ooh nice-you have an Alchemy!! Would love to check out one of those in person!

Alchemy is actually the reason I bought this Springfield. I hadnt really ever heard or followed Alchemy prior to a few months ago, started checking them out due to the 1911 Syndicate Channel on Youtube. I was SOOO mad when I found out they had just done the "Face Off" recreation guns as part of their "Restomod" releases, and of course they all sold out.

I was however able to snag a set of the reproduction dragon grips they made for those. So i have been trying to figure out a gold gun to put the grips on- almost bought a 24k Colt, but with the original movie guns being Springfield's, I decided to buy a Springfield, and then have it coated in gold!

So until it arrived, I 100% was planning on taking this Springfield straight to Amazin Hydrodip in Oregon City and having it cerekoted in the new "FX gold" color. HOWEVER, now that i have it, I am hesitating, as OF COURSE I got our favorite color, OD green, and now I want to keep the OD green. Should have just bought a boring black one . . . ;-)

Two gun Saturday!!

Two more NICS checks for me- an instant in the AM, second one in the afternoon ended up in the queue, but at the time queue only had 14 in it. Methinks the reason why I ended up in the queue is because this is my FOURTH NICS check in two days LOL!

Picked up two guns today- the S&W 439 and 459. If you own a 39/59/439/459 wasting away in your closet, you might want to hang on to it- IMO these are about to explode.

Reason why: "The Hush Puppy". That term was derived from Vietnam- SEAL teams requested a suppressed pistol. Military denied it stating it wasnt honorable/rules of war. So SEALS changed the request, stating they didnt want it to shoot humans(which was a lie, they did) to say they only wanted it to 'silence' the many dogs in the villages. It got approved. Thus, the term "Hush Puppy" was born.

The original Hush Puppy systems, the MK22mod0 (which is still technically classified to this day) were S&W 39's that were then modified. It is rumored that only a little over 100 were created. Only TWO are known to be in private hands.

No one has ever made a threaded barrel for these- UNTIL NOW. GregsGuns released a batch, and preorders in place for more incoming, of which I have preordered. You can now literally recreate the ORIGINAL, still classified Mk22Mod0, "The Hush Puppy".

Hey oh!! Just your weekly check in to let you know that the queue remains nice and low- another instant for me, but wait would be super short even if you go in the queue!

Picked it up yesterday: Colt Custom Shop Classic Government .45 1911 in high polish Royal Blue.

These pictures do not do it justice- it is a high mirror polish with a deep blueing- looks dripping wet. . .

Decided to put the Cabot 'Face Off" stocks on it, and MAN it actually looks really good- black on black, with a touch of flair ;-). Fingerprint magnet for sure! REALLY hard to take a photo of it, or one that does it justice.

Oh, and in the second picture on my workbench, can you see me giving a thumbs up in the reflection? Lol! Had to show of how mirror the finish is ;-)
