The FBI's NICS total was over 28.3 million in 2019, a 3% increase over 2016. In December alone, there were almost 3 million checks done. There's a message there Congress/States!

Kinda hard to look at just straight NICS numbers as they have added BGC's for private sales which were never counted before. Would be interesting to see how many private sales in those numbers.
