Up for sale or trade is a NIB 9mm Stainless Sig P226. It's NOS (new old stock) from 2003. It's a relatively scarce model, as Sig no longer produces a standard all-stainless P226 in 9mm like this. It comes with the original plastic grips, all factory/stock parts, lock, (3) mags - original LE/MIL marked 15rd capacity Italian Mecgar mags - and manual in the box.
The heft and durability of the German-made all stainless frame was a big part of the appeal of this gun to me. I know it's unfounded, but I've got a lot more confidence in solid steel over aluminum alloys. This gun feels amazing in the hand, definitely not your run-of-the-mill Glock, XD or even standard P226. It'd make a great HD, range/plinking, or even CCW (get a good gun belt!). Could always bludgeon the BG if you ran out of ammo, too :bash:
Only looking to move it because I'm hopelessly addicted to S&W's and a snubby Model 686 has been calling me. I wouldn't be crushed if this gun didn't sell though, as it's an impressive chunk of steel. I'm in no particular rush to see it go.
This hasn't seen a shot fired outside the factory, as perhaps can be seen in the photos. There's some very light marks here and there from living in the box for the last 10 years, but nothing noteworthy. Spotless bore. It's as a NIB/NOS pistol should be.
I'm looking to sell for $900obo (I'm into it for more than that and it took some searching to track this variant down) or trade for a 2.5-3" S&W Model 686. Must show CPL/WAC/LE creds.
Thanks.
