How does it work when inserted? Do you have to modify the gun? Does the clip just pop off the magazine?

The first thing that comes to my mind is the magazine collecting dirt and pocket lint.

I believe it goes inside the pocket behind the mag in the grip. Where a grip plug would go.

And yeah the lont thing would be an issie, but I don't think enough that it would keep it from working

Dirt/lint wouldn't be much of an issue for CCW in clean street clothes since it's upside down. I have grip-plugs in my G's, so that kit would be a no-go for me.
