I was wondering if I could put a full sized stock on a NEF youth sized break action 223? That way my 5' tall wife and myself could both use it. Does anyone know?
Yes, it is a piece of cake. Take out the two screws of your recoil pad or buttplate and remove the plate or pad. You will see a hole in the end of the stock. Deep in that hole is the bolt that holds the stock to the action. You remove the bolt, remove your existing stock, put on your new stock, replace the bolt, etc.
It is pretty simple. You can order a new buttstock directly from H&R, or pick one up from Brownells. I wish you had posted earlier. I just gave a full size stock away. I may have another, PM me and I will look around.
