With a maximum pressure of 23,00 PSI, they're at about the pressure of a .45, but at .314, the round is narrower than a 9mm, which can go as high as 40,000 PSI. It comes out pretty close to the old .32 which has a chamber pressure of about 20,000 PSI. So probably not an optimal round for self defense. Still a fun concept though.
