No question about being honest. I reviewed the on line CC course again. A few of those questions suffer from poor wording all the while referring you to the statutes. Just a curiosity.I personally have not heard of an actual interview for a CHL, but I haven't needed a CHL in over twenty years.
My wife did not get interviewed when she received her CHL, it was just an appointment to go over her paperwork. We reside in a slightly more conservative county than Lane County.
If in fact it is a real interview be honest.

I've been asked to see my driver's license to verify my credit card, but never been asked for a credit card as any kind of ID. Just saying that it seemed odd, considering they are asking for a current DL, Passport or Birth Certificate. Two of which have photo ID.credit card can be used as some sort of ID, I would care less if they asked me.
It has been a while, but when I renewed, they were scheduled several months out. I made an appointment online, showed up a little ahead of time and they got me right in at the exact time. It went really quickly. I think I printed the forms out from their website and had everything ready to go when I got there.I have yet to go down and renew my CHL. I called them and I need to make an appointment to do my paperwork and photograph. LCSO.
Yes, having the paperwork completed and all details that were required for my application made it smooth. And they do seem to be pretty serious about holding things on time if you have an appointment. It has been a while, but when I renewed, they were scheduled several months out. Agreed on the in person class.I got my first CHL in Lane county. That was about 93 or 94. The required course was a 2 day course with one day in class and the second day on the range. Had a great instructor. Back then online anything hadn't been invented yet. I still think in person classes should be required. At least someone verifies the person isn't a complete cheese head when it comes to firearms.
Renewals in Deschutes County takes about 5 minutes. Stamp the form, pay the fee and get a picture. ...actually I just looked, my current picture is 12 years old. I don't even get a new picture.
Agreed on the in person class.
I don't know guys. There is no denying there are plenty of morons running around. But what's to stop them from carrying concealed without a license? There are states where free folks don't have to have a permit to carry. I like that idea. I would never vote to put more restrictions on law abiding folks.I still think in person classes should be required.
