I have some work in Grants Pass next week and will have one afternoon to mess around. . I've only driven through on the 5 passing through so don't know the area at all. Rabbits are open season, and there seems to be lots of BLM and Forest around per OnX. . Can anyone point me toward some reasonably huntable public land that holds some tasty cottontails to shoot at before I make the 4 hr trek north home? Thanks!

Plenty of shooting opportunities in the Kalmiopsis wilderness, but I don't think you'll get to the bunnies before the wildcat, fox, wolf etc... I've never seen one, and I've had a cabin there for 40ish years. There ARE bunnies on the beach (beach bunnies) but I don't think you can find a remote enough stretch to shoot at them....ok, maybe with a suppressor, and you dress like a tourist to become invisible.
