I bought this about a month ago, but because of money issues I'm putting it up for sale. It's a good shooter, bore is good and stock cartouches are strong. Will come with 4 8-round chargers.

National Ordnance was a company in the Los Angeles area that assembled rifles using cast receivers and GI parts.

Correct. While not military issued, this M1 is a great bargain. Most of the parts are Springfield or Winchester.
