Don't have room in the safes for these. All AR 15 mags. Got a couple of M&P 15-22 mag, 32 AR Mags and 4 R\iger P85 mags.

I have a severe overage of magazines. They are scattered all over, in boxes, in bags, hung on a peg. But I am still in control. I keep buying.

And it is not uncommon for me to buy magazines for firearms I don't even own. (yet).

I have ten MTM plastic ammo/mag cans in the safes for these and 2 X 50 mag cases and another dozen Magpul GL 9 mags in between the ammo and gun safes. So that's over 200 mags.

Now ya wanna see my holster stash? And my grip stash? And my belt stash? And my knife stash?

My kids are gonna have their work cut out for them some day.:s0114:

We don't have room in the safes for magazines. Suppose I could put some of ours in them, boxing them up under long guns that have clearance.

But I'm starting to feel like Winnie the Pooh just thinking about doing so.

You could do what I do and put empty mags into display mannequins with full combat rattle ;) some examples...View attachment 2168847View attachment 2168848View attachment 2168849View attachment 2168851View attachment 2168852View attachment 2168853

My only gripe is that I only have two torso mannequins :s0140:

Or you could make gear trees with free pallet wood pieces

If I had those in my house I'd wake up in the middle of the night and think intruder and bust a few into them ....... :s0140:

I bought mags for guns i thought I might want even on a whim because I figured I could always sell out of state but one the ban took into effect I wouldn't get the chance to get anything reasonable. 10 rounds my bubblegum.

And what's interesting about this, I won an auction for a SFAR at a fundraiser. I stocked up on magazines waiting for this SFAR to materialize. I waited months, until 114 kicked back in. At that point, I backed out of the auction not knowing if the rifle could even be shipped here with a 20 rd magazine. I don't know if this rifle ever materialized for anybody, as my friends in free states would have bought it. It was a gift to our cause, donated by Ruger directly. Off topic, but I also won a Ruger RXM at this event. 😍

Ammo does not go in my safe as there isn't any room. Some goes on top for an "easy grab", mostly for the hunting rifles we might use.
I have an old locking gun cabinet from Stack On that is made of steel. It's about tool box strong. It's as full as it can get and I have more ammo cans full stacked in a couple of places.
Mags are another story, but only a select few are in the safe with the handguns.
Part of the issue with safe room is other valuables and paperwork are stored in there, too.
