His Birthday is tomorrow. He has to work, but he stopped by on Saturday . I gave him this set of Altimont grips. He sent me a picture of them on his revolver. att.MOpJnOYjm8wbTnQQW8QUrpXtOEXQHTMyYd4cSlFu-XQ.jpeg

Altamont grips on my Smith & Wesson Combat Masterpiece. Smith & Wesson sold off all their woodworking equipment long ago, in the 80's or 90's, and Altamont has been supplying many of the OEM grips to them since.

I've never been impressed by the wooden grips that come on Ruger single action revolvers from the factory. I don't know if they make them in-house or contractors supply them. But lousy grip to frame fit was normal on most of the Ruger single actions I've owned. I don't have it anymore, but here is a picture of a Ruger Old Vaquero .38-40 / .40 S&W convertible that I put a pair of Altamont grips on:

These were some kind of plastic, of course, but in my opinion, they didn't look cheap. These have been unavailable for quite some time. They say they are going to run more some day, but it hasn't happened yet.

I have 2 new condition sets of grips for an old square butt N Frame. I should probably list them. They are like new. One is more reddish Orange like yours, and the other is brown. I sealed them up a long time ago to store them, with my food sealer.

Well, I just talked to my son. He wasn't hired at the job he was originally wanting. But his second choice was truck driving.

A few of his Army buddies are driving OTR and making nice money. Way more than what he would have made at his current job by at least double. He found some companies that will let him take his dog with him.

He sent me a video of him dry firing it without the sights moving, which he couldn't do with the factory grips. I will order some for my Python. It currently have Pachmyar rubber on it right now.

The factory grip was too small, and a factory normal grip is still too small. I put an Anaconda grip on it is the best so far, but it has holes in the back that look ugly.
