Can not wait to shoot this bad boy, it is a concept V tactical. I have a question though, it is supposed to have a tactical package, but it does not look to smooth around the corners, am I missing something? The guy at the gun shop wiped all the oil off before I got there, when I get home, it says do not wipe off the oil. Oh well, I will just put some CLP on it and shoot it.

They make some of the best custom 1911's on the planet. You are indeed a lucky man that spent a small fortune on a class firearm. :s0155::s0155:

Those are so accurate you just point them in the direction of the target and they take out the black center of the target.:D

Beauty !!
So, if you quickly but firmly stroke the top of the slide from front to back with the cupped palm of your hand, does anything such as the rear edge of the ejection port, feel sharp ?
Do the edge of the dust cover and the nose of the slide have a slight bevel on the sharp edges ?
I have some 1911's (ie kimber Pro Elite and CDP) that have a "carry melt" finish, but most just have a softening of the sharp edges. Although the rounded Kimber may appear more tactical and carry friendly, when it comes to clearing stovepipes and other stoppages and holstering, there's no practical difference. So long as the edges around the ejection port and rear sight don't threaten to slice your digits, you'll be fine...and as it's stainless, you could always take a fine file to anything you felt too sharp...;)
