No advice, but seeing as your using a drill press, I'll be watching this thread!

Look up a YouTube video by MDT where they took 1,2,3,4,5,6 port brakes and compared them back to back. Turns out anything more than 4 ports is worthless.

The problem with that test was that it only counted port number for that specific design. I would like to see them repeat the test with several others as well. I thought it was interesting but had to take many grains of salt with it

This is one of those, "Cool - but why?"
Being that it's aluminum bar stock, I'd give it 100 shots before it's ruined.
May you prove me wrong....
