Tapered rifling. "36 cal" at the muzzle and 38 at the rear, loaded with a "40 cal" ball. Interesting gun, the way the barrel unscrews to reveal the chamber. Super puny ballistics.
Cool little gun.

Thank you ...that makes more sense.
I've seen guns that load like that...mine that is pictured in this thread does that...albeit without the tapered rifling.
