I don't think so. BATFE considers the shotgun to be a firearm and not an NFA weapon.
That is the loophole that allows these. The "cruiser" type shotguns were not classified as a shotgun. They gave them the classification "firearm". This is how they make these legally with the shorter barrel. There is no barrel length requirement. The only thing it needs is the correct over all length. Neat looking little idea.

The OSP is holding up all transfers as of June 30th, 2017 to check their legality by Oregon law. I ASSUMING/HOPING that Oregon law just says "shotgun" as relating to these firearms. If that's the case the legal definition of a shotgun is "a firearm designed to be fired from the shoulder" and shouldn't apply to these firearms as they are not a shotgun by legal definition.

If you try to purchase one it WILL be delayed until they decide if it's legal.

OH, one other thing: the BATFE is telling dealers to call it a bolt action pistol!!!

WHAT?! It's not a bolt action and it's most definitely NOT a pistol or it would be classified as a "smooth bore pistol/handgun" and require a $5 fee and all of the necessary paperwork.

WEEEIIIRD!

The Oregon State Police have confirmed that they are "delaying" all sales of "Shockwave" and "Tac-14" shotguns.

It appears this new policy started on Friday. They said they are awaiting a decision from the Department of Justice on whether these firearms are "legal" under Oregon law.

ATF has already determined that these firearms are NOT regulated under the National Firearms Act.

Oregon law describes "short barrel" shotguns as:

"a shotgun having one or more barrels less than 18 inches in length and any weapon made from a shotgun if the weapon has an overall length of less than 26 inches."
However, Oregon law does not define what a "shotgun" is.
Under Federal law, these are not shotguns at all since they are not designed to be fired from the shoulder. These firearms are not considered to have been "made from a shotgun" either since they come from the factory configured with no stock.

While Oregon law prohibit shotguns with barrels shorter than 18 inches, it provides for an "affirmative defense" if the shotgun
"was registered as required under federal law."

Of course, these guns cannot be "registered" under Federal law because they are not regulated under the NFA.

As you may know, many of these guns have already been transferred
with OSP approval. OSP has no word on what will happen to people who bought them legally prior to this new policy.

OSP has promised to provide a copy of whatever determination the Department of Justice makes on these guns. If we receive it we will provide it.

Not true. I purchased one yesterday, and wasn't delayed.

It is a Firearm, pistol grip. Same as the Mossberg JIC, and the Black Aces Tactical. Not pistol. I think that's where the confusion comes from. NWA must be trying to sell them as a 12 ga pistol, which would NOT be legal.

Whatever mods you do, be sure your support hand can't slip past the muzzle. Several folks have KSG'ed their hands, not so clean off! Google "ksg support hand blown off"

I assume this is why they all come with that forend strap. My heavily modified Magpul forend won't let my hand slip forward either.

Update: I just added grip tape to my forend. This thing is slippery! Hope the tape helps. I may end up installing the Mossberg strap on the Magpul forend.

Here's what I did to my new Tac-14 to prevent slippages.

Kevin from the OFF was on Lars today. He said that he went into his FFL and bought one. They did a background check on him and he passed and they sold it to him. He walked out with it.
