Model "1" Sales - Feedback requested

I'm looking at picking up some pieces / parts and was wondering if 'Model "1" Sales' is a reputable outfit. I'd like some feedback / opinions from anyone having any experiences with these guys.

Their builds are crap. KNOW what pieces and part you are ordering, assume nothing.

I've built six ARs with Model 1 stuff, no complaints. Bought complete kits, then wound up subbing some parts, not because there was anything wrong with them, just decided to do something different. Changed a barrel for a proprietary caliber, then used the take-out barrel for another build, one changed to LH for a friend. Their triggers are mediocre to poor, but probably standard "mil-spec". I haven't put a ton of rounds through them, but no problems so far. One in 7.62X39, two in .300BO, one converted to 7.62X40WT, two in .223. All accurate with the new triggers.

They have been around for eons. Not known for the best quality, but they seem to just keep trudging along.

I made many purchases back in 2004, but haven't seen anything more recent than that. At one time they were actually well known, but like mentioned above, quality suffered and they were mostly left behind in the hundreds of other pop ups during the AR boom and busts over the last 20 years.

I assembled my first AR back in the mid 90's with a collection of their parts...on an Olympic Arms receiver. That thing was a piece of junk!

I bought a LPK from them. It arrived on my doorstep. Seems like I got what I paid for

Better email ahead of time for "in stock" items though. They have a bunch of stuff not marked out of stock.. just saving you a headache.

Lookin to do my own build, so this type of info is exactly what I was needing. Like I said, I'm needing pieces / part, not their builds.

Bottom line, I use a select few vendors where I purchase my parts and large list of vendors I avoid, Model "1" Sales in the latter.

Model 1 was around since I was in the Army back in 95 , So was J+T distributing.
Now double star.
They were both the first Military contractors to sell stuff under a new name.'
2nd's are 2nd's.
You get what you pay for..
Never had 1 out of over 3-400 builds on their parts that didn't work correctly.
Commando's to 20's....

Actually, I was in 94, bought my first parts from them in 95...
Back then you could still sign stuff into the arms room no questions asked.

Low end stuff.
Too many other good shops around for me to buy from them.
