When a mainstream vendor posts a price like that now, I take it as "new normal." Just for laughs, I was in the neighborhood of a Cabela's store last week. They had shelf space for primers (all of which was empty) and the price tags were, IIRC, $79.99 Which was for ordinary primers, not military equivalent (like #41's which have always cost more). Most Midway prices are now posted at $74.99.

What happened to the foreign-made primers that were supposed to be landing on our shores?

Recently, I read that S&B discontinued selling primers in the US market in 2019, which we used to get at discount from Cabela's.
