I have to "guess" the lever is aimed at those of us who can't buy the auto's any more.
I think this is the start of what seems to be "The Lever Action Revival", but now people that never had one are starting to see the practicality of a lever action rifle.
I never, ever thought that anyone would build, or that people would want a 9mm lever, but here we are! 10mm and 9mm carbines. Kinda shocking.

I was a HUGE PCC fan from the time I was a kid. Most of my life they were the "odd man out" as very few wanted one. While back this market just exploded and it was great to me. Then shortly the state I live in decided these were "evil" and the writing was clear to see where we were heading. A LOT of the large price difference in lever's and auto's is how many are made. When we finally see the feds decide none of us can have auto's the levers will of course sell a hell of a lot more and price will come down. If I did not already have many PCC's or if I live long enough that this state just finally says they have to go? I will of course buy a couple of the levers. Even at the price point they sell for now they do catch my eye a LOT. One in 10mm would be a lot of damn fun and make a dandy SHTF gun.

in fact was out shooting 2 of them today - Banshee MK10 and Gen 5 Glock 20. I want this just to add to the collection of 10mm, but do I REALLY need/want it? Have other lever actions. Hmm......
Well if you got the money honey go ahead and do it. Personally I think you struck gold with your banshee. I have one and it is fantastic. For me though, if you just wanted something with a longer Barrel in a carbine size, why not go with the Ruger LC10? You'd save a bit of cash doing that and still have a fine piece.

1st shots with my LC10

I did go ahead with the Marlin. Not really a fan of the LC10, but something I have considered.

Kind of, in a way, but I see it as just a modern 'incarnation' of lever action rifles in MODERN pistol calibers.

Heck 9mm is cheap to buy (and load for) so it gives one an opportunity to have a lever action rifle that is economical to shoot.

I have always enjoyed shooting my .357 levers with cheap to load ammo and having one in 9mm would just add to the fun and economy.

And if ya never had any experience with 9mm in a rifle it's pretty impressive. My Ruger PCC is nearly one hole at 50 yards and clays and similar sized targets at 100 - 120 yards aren't even a challenge. In a 20" lever it would be even better.

Of course the 9mm drops off fairly quickly after those distances but thats beside the point.

If it's going to be wood, make mine walnut.
Love the cartridge, though.
Not a huge fan of the plywood stocks, but good walnut is getting scarce/expensive so I see why they're pushing the laminated stuff.

Now what would be cool is if they could come up with one that would shoot 9 mm and 357 mag reliably

Sometime in the late 80's or early 90's I had a Camp Carbine 9mm for a very short time. About 8-9 years ago I had a 45 version.
Also had a Marlin 1894 in 41 Mag. Pistol and revolver cartridges in a long gun just don't "do it" for me, I guess.

I really enjoy mine.

Don't get me wrong ... I like lever guns.
But a carbine that fires when folded, uses glock mags and is hundreds $$$ less wins on just about every front. The exception is "looks". I think that everybody would agree a lever gun is more beautiful than the LC10.

Hornandy did a run of 10mm "leverevolution" in 150 gr. Say it's fine in semi autos as well- Just sayin.
Still wouldn't grab a lever in this cal…

I've liked long guns in companion cartridges to handguns, have had such pair-ups before. These days, I've got some 10mm handguns but I probably won't be buying the new Marlin in 10mm. Much as I admire the idea. It's fairly pricy at MSRP. Anyway, at my age I probably shouldn't be buying anything new. I've got rifles that sitting unused and neglected that I need to get back to.
