That is a beauty......I have always preferred Marlins to Winchester's. Compared side by side, the Marlins are a superior design and fit better.

OK Maybe it isn't. I never owned a Marlin lever gun.

That is gorgeous. We don't see 1893's often. I have an 1893 in .410 . Certainly not pretty like yours.

I gotta agree, I think the marlins are a better fit and finish then the same era Winchesters! BUT some of the fancy Winnies are flat out sexy too!

The laser engraving was the most expensive part (which we farmed out to Hyperion Precision in Kent). Of course I don't charge for my labor, just costs of materials.

I grew up with a Winchester '94 and I think the Marlin 336s I have are superior - I just wish Marlin would make a carbine with an octagon barrel. I can't speak for other Marlin models.

What is going to happen to Marlin now that Remington is going bankrupt?
