There is a stamp on the side of this revolver that I can't find out what it means ... so I am asking the experts ... any idea .... it looks to be a bird with S20 stamped under it ???

I think the bird head means Springfield & the S20 is the person who inspected the pistol once assembled.
Some times Colt sent there pistols to Springfield armory for acceptance

Eagle, it's an ordinance inspector's mark.
