Correct. Not all of them mind you, just a few as it was cut from plate.
I have worked in steel service centers for, well, since I was young and beautiful. My current one closed our warehouse and this was some of the "vintage" stuff we found with a half inch of dust on them. "New and prime", but no certs.

its magnesium, its a flammable metal. any machining work should be done with care, coolant, and a class D fire extinguisher.
