Most places gun stuff is blocked.
It is at work. And yes CL is not blocked at work.
It's the filter they are running.
So you got yer panties in a wad over nothing.
Some people just can't wait to be offended.
I mean really? You got upset and in a self righteous huff because you couldn't surf the net inside a dept store?
Oh the humanity.

You haven't seen the pictures of people setting tower units and large monitors up at Micky D's? I've never seen it personally though but I guess people do it.

whoa powermad....talk about getting your panties in a wad over nothing, try re-reading your post. From the OP's post it's plainly obvious he wasn't "upset and in a self righteous huff" because he "couldn't surf the net"....he was simply pointing out the store's ridiculous blocking of sites simply because they're firearm related, and doing the right thing by mentioning it to other members of this community...so if anyone is in a self righteous huff or jumping at an opportunity to be offended it looks to be you, judging by your post. Fair enough if you don't see the macy's bit of social engineering as an issue but you really crossed the line by whining at somebody else for expressing their opinion on the matter....

Lots of business's block sites, as said before to keep employees from going to. Many government agencies block YouTube, ITunes, Netflix. I used to try and get some government accounts for my business to go to You Tube to see a process or procedure for explanation, but they were blocked from going there. It has a lot to do with malware installation and virus propagation.

The parameters the blocking programs and fire walls impose are capable of blocking more than gun sites based upon the parameters set by the software and the IT dudes.

I can read just fine.
He left and went on and on how they lost his business because gun sites are blocked on their WiFi.
Did I miss something?
Warning others of the insidious plot by Macy's to quash your 2nd amendment rights?
Not much to be outraged about to leave if I happened to shop there. So they block gun sites. BFD
They most likely block a lot of stuff not just evil guns.
Even if they intentionally block gun sites, BFD
If it bothers you that bad by all means cut up the cards and never darken their threshold again.
Seems a bit absurd to me.

Did you try a porn site?

I would have pulled up some weird porn turned the volume up and then asked why they think a chick pooing on another girls chest is morally superior than a firearm website for learning?

Maybe I'm a bit "different"

Bull chips. If Macy's is using an outside vendor to provide the WI-FI then they are still the ones dictating the policy.
He is getting self righteous (to quote your term) because this retailer is showing their opposition to his own personal values.
They're a private business so it is their right. He has the right to tell all the like minded people, flip Macy's the bird and spend his money elsewhere.
