Massachusetts Sends Letter to Licensed Gun Owners Demanding They Surrender Bump-Fire Stocks

Since FA are Licensed, they know where to start.
How do they know about the stock you may have?

"...[the] state's ban on bump-fire stocks, trigger cranks, and other firearms accessories designed to help increase a semi-automatic firearm's rate of fire takes effect on Feb. 1, 2018,..."

"The agency said there is no registry of bump-fire stocks, and authorities don't know how many bump-fire stocks are in the state or who owns them. "

The stocks were available mail order for a couple of years. How they gonna eradicate a piece of plastic?

ETA: Drop-in auto sears are a thing of the distant past now. I'd guess only a small percentage of those remain in the wild. Rarer still would be a pre-NFA full auto and they were mail order too.

5th amendment.
"nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."

They know that funding a lawsuit is so expensive and time consuming that they will blatantly ignore the constitution.

A threatening somewhat intimidating warning informational letter. That'll do it.

Hard to believe that Massachusetts has become just as stupid as California or Connecticut...

Americans aren't just going to roll over and comply, they're simply going to ignore the law. Sure there will be some small percentage that comply, but the majority won't...

Then what are they going to do? Unannounced inspections of private homes and private gun collections?

Hitler and Stalin would be proud...

Who thinks the politician government employee crime gang care about the constitution?

Perhaps not surprising considering it is Taxachusetts, but still insanely stupid and unconstitutional, even by the low standards of Socialist, Nanny State idiocy.
