Okay, guys, here's the deal. Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer solid advice. Two of my AKs are from Palmetto State Armory: an AK103 and an AKP. Both are chambered in 7.62x39 and have an M24x1.5 thread pitch.
If you know anything about these, that thread pitch isn't the most common. I want to be able to use one suppressor for both firearms. This means the suppressor will need at least some sort of QD or muzzle device to which it can attach. This rules out a direct thread option.
I have several cans; my first cans were all direct thread, and for a couple of firearms, that's okay. My latest is a Griffin Armament M4SDK. This suppressor is for .556, and the beauty of it is that it can attach to any A2 flash hider. This means I can swap it out between rifles without purchasing a new muzzle device for each.
I bring THAT up because they also make a .30 cal version, and Ideally, I'd love to use that can on both of these firearms. I have been unable to find an A2 flash hider that mounts to that thread pitch.
So, to suppress these two, I have a few options.
1. Find a thread adapter that goes from M24x1.5 to a more common pitch like 5/8/24 and then add an A2 at the end of that, and then add the can (the one advantage to this option is that I could also use it on my AR10)
2. Go with a Dead Air Wolverine and replace the muzzle device on the end of both rifles with the jmac device, and then the thread adapter, and then the can.
3. ????? Anyone know of an A2 with that thread pitch? Does anyone have advice based on experience? Please understand that I've been googling my brains out, and so I may have missed something.
Thanks in advance for your help!
