I just acquired a S&W 686 CS 1 but the original front sight was replaced. These guns were made for the US Customs Service in the mid 80's & the Gov't spec called for a 1/10" vs. the standard 1/8" wide sight. I can get a replacement sight but it'll need to be shaved .0125" on both sides to make it period correct. The seller stated the front sight slot in the barrel wasn't modified which helps a lot.

I'm living in Florence until mid-May and will then relocate to McMinnville. If you know of a good gunsmith in either area I'd appreciate their info. CS-1b.JPG
