No, these are just classified as a "firearm", just require a normal BCG and purchase procedures.

AOW means Any Other Weapon, basically a pistol grip only shotgun, that is under 26", and has never had a stock. They are an NFA item, requiring a $200 tax stamp and way too long of a wait time.
