I have a Chromebook and cannot figure out how to install/run/whatever the Linux commands are to install Bambu studio software. Willing to compensate with ammo/beer/my exwife. Located in SE PDX.

What type and version of Linux are you running and does it support Bamboo studio?
ASUS Chromebook I just "unlocked" Linux on it in developer section but the script I copypasta'ed from a YouTube vid gives an error.

There are many flavors of Linux - different flavors of Linux use different commands. RHEL is not the same as SUSE or debian and they have different commands. The first step is to identify what you have meaning what OS your actually running.

Looks like when you enable Linux support on Chrome OS is lie running Bottles on Linux so you can run Windows. so it's not a version of Linux per se.

I wish I could help as a linux user but Im just a user. What I can tell you is that if your using anything linux then be prepared to spend time going down rabbit holes in computer nerdom linux forums and search engines.

Bambu studio software in chromebook:

I posted in there but no replies so far.
Asking the right questions matters.

Treat it like a bug report:

1. Here is my hardware and software setup.

2. Here is what I'm trying to install.

3. Here is my problem I'm experiencing and how to reproduce it.

4. Here is/are the exact error(s) I'm getting.

5. Here is what I've done to troubleshoot already.

Be as exact and concise as possible. There's no need to include what you had for breakfast, but ending things with descriptions like "I get an error" do not help anyone help you.

Just some free advice from a 30+ year IT support bubblegum.

I have no idea how Linux/Chromebook works and as stated Bambu Studio. It won't install and I am lost. I Have no idea what is going on. I am asking for help and while it may sound stupid I have no idea so your smart a55 reply doesn't help. Not all of us are 30 year IT people, shockingly.

I have worked for several decades in IT - I have always been amazed the number of times I have been able to find answers by simply qoogling them. In many case I have found the answer before the technical support was able to provide it and when working on a problem in the middle of the night this has made my life easier at times.

Yep, I can't tell you how many times plugging a Microsoft error code into the vast oogleee machine results in a much quicker direction towards a solution than even Microsoft's own debug tools.

I have googled it and am lost, thus why I am here asking and stating I am willing to compensate for time and skill to fix this.
