im a lefty and have never had a prob just using a righty shotgun, actually i kinda prefer it.... like a remy 1100 or 870

now bolt action rifles .... thats a different story

why do you feel a lefty action is necessary?

It is for my wife and she wants a lefty. I have no experiance shooting the opposite hand shotgun. So I dont know what the disatvantage or advantage is.

The safety is on the wrong side if its a cross bar on the trigger guard. If it is a auto [right hand] leftys get every thing in their face.
Think about a o/u with tang safety. good lucky with your search.

I shoot lefy but have a regular mosberg 500 and shoot it fine. The safety is on top of the reciever and I don't think I have ever seen the shells flying past my face.
