I'd like to sell this Lee Enfield MK V serial D12409. I think $250 is a fair price for this, buyer pays transfer fee. It's in great condition for its age.

That appears to be a sporterized No1 MkIII, or something sporterized to look similar to a No5 Mk I. In which case this rifle is worth about $200-$250 to the right person. Do you have any information regarding this "Mk V"?

Definitely Not a No1 Mk 5 "Jungle Carbine" or one of the No1 MkIIIs converted to Look like one.
Forestock looks like it might have been on an early Mk 1

Yes, wrist markings would be good. Serial and markings on the barrel shank indicate 41-42 Lithgow No1MkIII*, Orange Small Arms Factory. D serial is supposedly very late in 42, so the MA43 stamp on the shank probably indicates it was assembled in early 43 and accepted for service.

If you were closer, I may have picked it up because I'm a sucker for projects. GLWS thou.

That number under the bolt You're showing should match a number on the top of the wrist, the flat spot on the top, where the bolt folds over.
there should a number on the back of the bolt that matches the rifle serial number.
HV SC on the barrel means High Velocity, Short Cone.
