My local store (LaPine) will be sending a PCC I bought from them back to Ruger.

When the brass ejects it is striking the forward edge of the ejection port and nicking and dinging it and exposing the aluminum by 'knocking' the finish off. Otherwise it functions flawlessly.

This seems to be a common problem with them unfortunately.

Anyway I'll be contacting Ruger tomorrow to facilitate the details.

PCC - as previously mentioned.

Because they are going to handle it and I DON'T have to make a trip to Bend and deal with FedX .
So.... PC charger? PC carbine? PCC isn't a model name, as far as I know. It's a sub-type of gun. Cut it with the "per my last email" stuff and speak plain.

I wish that Ruger would make the LC Carbine in 9mm with the magwell in the grip.

My only concern is what they will DO specifically.

I don't really want a new rifle as this one shoots INCREDIBLY accurately and reliably - in spite of the brass smacking the front of the port.

If they can just resolve the ejection issue I'll be happy and can 'live' with the slightly dinged up edge on the ejection port however IF they decide to replace it well, not much I can do about that.

Yes, first year NEW model PCC - 9mm Pistol Caliber Carbine.

I didn't say "per my last email" - I said 'as previously mentioned'. Read carefully.
Ok, hope your doohickey gets fixed proper and you can quit crying, take care

Oh, so you reference something I DIDN'T EVEN SAY yet I am supposed to 'speak plain', but you can't accept 'read carefully' ?

Go take a look in the mirror with regard to 'passive aggressive'.....
"Per my last email" , take care.

That is great that they are willing to do it for you. Sadly its often a HUGE PITA to ship a gun anymore. So many of the people who work for the common carriers are like robots. Say anything about "gun" and they melt down with NOOOOOOO. FAR easier if someone with an FFL will just do it like they did for you.

I recently sent a gun back to Ruger. It was pretty straightforward. I was responsible for shipping and they billed me via CC then issued the shipping label. I printed label, boxed gun and dropped the gun off at FedEx. Fortunately I have a printer and work about a mile from Fed-Ex, so it's a painless process. The other thing that will be nice is that they will receive the gun for you. I had to wait at the shop during lunch to be sure I wouldn't miss the driver, as then have to deliver it back to me directly.

As far as BiMart? One of my most favorite stores. I'm not surprised they are helping you out. 👍

Well, bad news and GREAT news!

I went to Bi Mart to finalize the send back and talked to the store mgr and they have a store policy of one year to send guns back to the factory and I am past that by several years so I came home and started doing some research about this and I discovered the ejector is a KNOWN issue and is the CAUSE of this if NOT properly adjusted.

It rides in a groove in the bottom of the bolt and needs to just lightly make contact with it, but not so tight it is hard to retract. Well mine had close to an 1/8" gap so I bent it up to just make contact with the groove and loaded some ammo in a mag and cycled the bolt and the rounds were ejecting about 30 degrees to the rear of the port! SO I'm hoping this was it. I really didn't want to mess with sending it back by myself. OR at all actually.

I'll just chalk this up as another minor gun repair I was able to handle myself - and I have had a few over the years with new guns!

SO I am left with the minor 'dinged' up ejection port so I'll lightly stone the rough edge to a 45 degree angle, touch it up with a Birchwood Casey aluminum touch up pen and call it a day! OR leave it and have a small, bare spot of aluminum.
