The Merwin Reservoir Kokanee fishing derby is this Saturday, this is a fund raiser for the Amboy Firefighters Association , come have some fun and meet other Kokanee Addicts.

The fishing was great it was the catching that sucked for us....

Wouldn't you know it I go out for Kokanee and end up catching a tiger musky.
I do have to admit it was fun bringing that guy in on 6# test line on a Kokanee rod.



all was not lost though, I was able to catch 2 pan size Kokes and win a door prize

I know folks have had a great time at the derby in the past. I work up at Merwin, Yale and Swift from time to time. Great camping and fishing areas up there!
