The news media says that she "recants her story". I say lied for political purposes.

"Ms. Munro-Leighton was one of the women who piled on with claims of sexual assault by Mr. Kavanaugh in the progressive mob moment of the Supreme Court confirmation hearing. She claimed in an Oct. 3 email to the committee that Mr. Kavanaugh and a friend "sexually assaulted and raped me in his car." Justice Kavanaugh denied it and Ms. Munro-Leighton conceded on Nov. 1 that she made it all up."

Remember how the vote went? Rrrright, straight along the party lines.* Note that the Dems have rewritten "the burden of proof standard".

VOTE. It matters.

*One Dem did vote for the nomination (out of the 49 possible).

And now when this really happens to someone and they report it, I wonder how many will be met with skepticism?

People that make these kind of false accusations should be charged and prosecuted.

Yep. And NBC knew this and sat on the evidence that her testimony was false.
The Dems are a vicious group that could care less what the false accusations did to an honorable man and especially how his two young daughters felt about all the allegations painting their dad as a monster. Same on them.

I think there were 5 accusers - lets say the majority of them lied - say 3 out of 5 lied. 60% - does that mean the remaining two accusers should not be heard or have no merit.

No but it seriously adds doubt to their credibility - so much to the point they would need to present some irrefutable physical evidence to support their now nearly defunct claims.

It means if they can be proven to be lying they should be prosecuted. If they can't be proven to have lied in criminal court they should be sued in civil court where the burden if far less. Then they should be held to pay big time. If it remains painless to lie like that it will only get worse. People who support these type would be singing a whole new tune when one of them made up some story about them.

It about "the burden of proof" and INNOCENT until proven guilty.

Being heard is one thing. Though, where is the proof? Doesn't requiring PROOF, account for something? YES, some cases have been won and/or lost based on he said/she said. But, the timing of the accusations also played a big role here.

If I was in Kavenaughs shoes - and I knew I was innocent I would want a complete and thorough investigation. I would have nothing to hide.

I support that. But I also believe in full investigations not the push it through at any cost scenario they played.

It was done the way it was because the "accusers" chose that route. They had decades to bring this up and did nothing. Then at the last second decided to. So if some woman comes to where you work and makes a claim like this you would be fine with losing your job for say a year or so while it's "investigated" ? No thanks. I did not believe anything any of them said.

It appears that YOU agree with, "GUILTY, until PROVEN INNOCENT."

Sorry.....but I disagree.

I believe Frat boy Kavenaugh - rich boy Kavenaugh used his family's influence to cover up his misdeeds and that Trump wanted him in case the dems took the Senate and the house. Trump wanted his back side covered
The truth about what I believe has no value other than it is my opinion. I would have a hard time proving my high school days or early Navy days. The only official records I have now is my dd214. Does it mean that some of the things I have experienced are strictly figments of my memory. I think not. I think we put a person of questionable morals on the supreme court and that concerns me.

Don't get me wrong....Investigating stuff has it's merits.

But, has anyone noticed how long the TRUMP - Russia Influence investigation has been going on? Or how much money it's costing?

Aloha, Mark

PS.....I admit it. I kissed girls who were my date, without written approval. I guess today.....I could be called a, "molester".

I feel that 3.5 days is insufficient to determine wether an individual is guilty or not. The investigation was never about finding the truth. It was to say they had done something.

Or......it was about timing. So that the mid term elections could hopefully turn the tide.

How long was the Clinton investigation - I believe it was a couple of years. When it comes to investigating our president using z foreign country to get elected keep the investigation going to we get an answer.

As an American citizen I cannot think of a more important issue than how other countries inject themselves in our political system to control our country and influence our way of life.

Fixed it for you.....

As an American citizen I cannot think of a more important issue than how the Left Winged Media and Certain Social Media Sights have injected themselves in our political system to control our country and influence our way of life.
