There are certainly other filters out there, but the Katadyn Pocket is rated for something like 13,000 gallons of water filtration. Of course, your arm will literally fall off before you pump that much. I really wish they'd update the pumping technology on these with a lever or something.

Their other filters (Vario, Pro, etc.) are rated somewhere between 200-500 gallons.
