~CONSIDER MODERN / ANTIQUE HANDGUNS IN TRADE~
Circa 1840, signed high quality percussion Jaeger by I. Heinish in Schwerin. Beautiful rifle, Brass hardware , & steel is tastefully engraved. Stock has exceptionally fine patterned checkering with carved accents.

Rifle just under 43" long overall, the mildly swamped & tapered barrel is 26" long & measures !-1/16" at the breech & 7/8" at the muzzle. Rifle has 13-1/2" length of pull & weighs in at 6-1/4 lbs.
One of the most comfortable & natural shouldering rifles I've owned.
I've owned this well cared for rifle for over 30 years. I'm 75 & after 50 years in black powder hunting & competition with original firearms no longer able to use it so time for a new caretaker. New owner will get loading data I've used, patches, balls & mold.
rifled bore in excellent condition with no pitting, very accurate & loads easy. Rifle is in exceptionally nice original condition with no rot, worm holes, cracks or repairs in wood or metal.. Wood has just minor dings & retains it's original varnish.
The lock & triggers are tight & operate perfect, double set trigger will fire set or unset & are fully & adjustable. Steel on lock, barrel & fittings retain over 90% of the original brown finish with almost zero pitting.
Nipple has been replaced with a quality Treso nipple & ramrod is a hickory replacement with brass tip & cleaning jag.
I have numerous photos if your a serious buyer & will be happy to answer any questions, Rifle priced very reasonably at $3,800. I will ship by priority insured mail after your money order clears for actual shipping & insurance cost. If interested can see in Boise, Idaho or contact me on my cell phone @ 208/ 230-2820 between 10am & 8pm.

I like that idea ... Hunting and going rendezvous are two of my favorite things to do.
I wish I had the cash for your rifle...More importantly I hope that whoever gets your rifle , respects its history and takes it out once in awhile to shoot.
