Guns and drugs are really the same issue: liberty. It doesn't make sense to argue for liberty on one, and against it for the other.

Guns and drugs are really the same issue: liberty. It doesn't make sense to argue for liberty on one, and against it for the other.

And yet people do.

The very same conservative that wants to protect everybody's second amendment rights, doesn't want to protect everybody's first amendment rights if he/she doesn't like what is being said. Vice versa with liberals who want to protect first amendment rights, but not second amendment rights if the gun is scary enough.

Libertarians are a bit more consistent.
